Since the ovens were built to a very sturdy standard, they are almost always worth repairing or rebushing. Bushings are designed to be replaced after a certain amount of wear. If they are not, the wear continues into the shaft and the repair cost increases dramatically. Even with the increased wear, most owners choose to make the repair to maintain the oven.

Proper lubrication procedures can greatly extend the life of bushings. Using the correct lube and a specially contoured lube tip on a regular basis (Chubco recommended weekly) is highly recommended.
